Presentation Project 2. Reflecting pools

the point of interest of this project in term of construction detail is the pools. my research gave me the opportunity to discover the work of Sylvia Crowe’s. She designed in the nineteen sixties 1960’s “The cement and concrete association” at Wexham Spring’s buckinghamshire. The pools will be replace in corten steel for more durability and to be in harmony with the pergola, some exemples of pools, features are shown here. In my last design 3 pools were created, you can imagine the main terrace in natural stone close to the lawn, sourrounded by lightnings cube in cork.

the sunset terrace in term of materials would be linked to the main terrace by Japanese paving stones, 6 naturals stones planks details in the setting out plan. A wall in cork will be placed along permaculture boxes. the pergola will be realized in corten steel, the idea is to create shade with climbing plants. Cork is a very interesting material, 100% natural and a cork wall create an acoustic panel.
