Client brief
The initial consultation consist of an on-site visit & careful dialogue to understand your needs, and inspirations, always happy to see some exemple you found, or painting you like.
In this phase a photographic survey will be a support for future design.
Survey & analysis
Site report and investigation, feasibility study are important part of the preliminary services. A topographic survey will record : levels changing, building, utilities like electric and water cables, existing trees & plants, orientation, property boundaries, the surrounding landscape.
This information allows me to design according to regulations and to assure safety mesures. For this service I can arrange a professional consultancy on your behalf.
B. Standard services :
Outline proposal/ Presentation scheme
Once you accept my design fee pro, as an outline design, I will produce a presentation of the project in A3 format that includes: scale plan, sectional elevation showing mass/void, general scale, 3d visuals, perspectives views, axonometric view, general suggestions for the use of materials and plants. Design detail, setting out & construction detail
Once the concept is set up, let s get into details. all details are meticulously considered. Technical construction drawings will be made to be submitted to the advice of landscape contractors in order to estimate the preparation plans accurately. Any subsequent changes to the final design scheme must be promptly communicated and approved by both parties.
3. Tender process
I often work with a trusted contractor; however, if necessary, we will move on to the tender phase, where we will request two or three quotes from reputable landscape contractors. Once the estimates have been received, it will be possible to carry out a complete cost analysis to evaluate the best proposal.
4. Planting detail
The planting design is part of the detail phase. Planting plans, schedules and specifications will be delivered to a landscape contractor, who is going to personally collect the necessary from selected nurseries.
In the case of small-scale projects, or at the specific request of the client, we will personally carry out these tasks.
C. Others services
Project management
During the construction phase, we will work closely with the landscape contractor by conducting regular on-site meetings and checks to ensure that the garden is built as agreed.
Aftercare
On request, we can produce a maintenance plan to ensure that the garden we have created is managed with the utmost care over time.
